I love being your Spanish teacher. Please use the attached form to tell me which classes your family will attend. Here is a summary of each of the class levels. All are learning Beginning Levels. If you are interested in intermediate or private lessons, please indicate that on your sign up sheet.
Preschool: Very young kids who like to play and sing. I try to capture their attention as best I can while introducing as many words as possible. The goal is to have fun and interact in English and Spanish. The lesson is geared to develop conversational confidence and cross-cultural understanding.
Unwritten Elementary: Children who don't read very well yet in English. These children learn Spanish much faster with perfect pronunciation when they cannot see the Spanish written. Therefore, only English is shown while English and Spanish is spoken. Perfect for K through 2nd grade and children with dyslexia. The tone is for younger Elementary children. The lesson is geared to develop conversational confidence and cross-cultural understanding.
Written Elementary: Children in Elementary School who are solid readers. Written Spanish is a huge part of the lesson. The tone is for older Elementary children. The lesson is geared to develop conversational confidence and cross-cultural understanding.
Middle School/High School: Children in Middle and High School. They follow the same lesson as Written Elementary with an appropriate tone. This age group can be divided if the group grows. The lesson is geared to develop conversational confidence and cross-cultural understanding.
Adults: Spanish and English learners eighteen years old or more. This class is 45 minutes in length. The topic is the same as the rest of the age groups. The lesson is geared to develop conversational confidence and cross-cultural understanding.
